Yes, Chathouse allows you to connect your own API keys from providers like OpenAI, giving you more flexibility and control over your AI chat experience. We also support ollama, including vision models.
How do character cards work?
Character cards are JSON or PNG/APNG files that contain descriptions of AI characters or scenarios, backstories, model instructions and example chats, for the purpose of roleplay. Once imported, the AI model will act as the character, allowing you to have immersive conversations. For now, you can find character cards on r/ChathouseAI in the character card megathread, or on websites such as JannyAI (warning: may contain adult and sexually explicit content).
